Efficiency

The advanced technology of the new petrol engine ensures high performance both in terms of fuel consumption and low emissions so there is no need for a diesel version. The decision is the result of detailed studies on the market and customers, which demonstrates that purchasing diesel engines, small car customers in Europe pay significantly more for reduced CO2 emissions. Nissan decided that the ideal solution is an advanced gasoline engine, which balances power, torque, fuel consumption and emissions.

Aspirated 1.2-liter engine developing 80 bhp at 6,000 rpm, maximum torque of 110 Nm at 4,000 rpm, consuming five liters per 100 km in combined mode and emissions of just 115g/km. CVT automatic transmission version, emissions are 125g/km and combined consumption of 5.4 litres/100km.

The engine is lightweight and compact. It has been carefully designed to avoid any imbalance inherent three-cylinder engines: the empty vibrations were eliminated by installing a crankshaft counterweight compensation, which generates vibrations caused by movement canceling oval stroke. The result is a quiet level similar to that of a four-cylinder engine.

The three-cylinder engine has fewer parts and thus reduce internal friction and improves thermal efficiency. Among friction reduction techniques include circular bore pistons, the adoption of diamond carbon coating (DLC) without hydrogen piston rings and a variable-volume oil pump. All these elements help to reduce friction by up to 30% compared to conventional four-cylinder engines, with similar performance levels.

The standard transmission is performed through a manual gearbox with five gears. The Micra range is available and new CVT transmission, fast reaction consisting advantage at low speeds and fuel economy at high speeds. This is the first CVT gearbox with secondary planetary gear system - for the efficient and very reliable. This allows the use of smaller gears, which means that the distance between gears and gearbox oil is higher. This leads to reducing the amount of oil the moving parts agitated and reduce friction.

Lightweight V platform is reflected in rigorous weight reduction in other components: fuel tank of 41 liters is 2.2 kg lighter than the old Micra, the exhaust system has no central damper noise, reducing weight 3.2 kg and apartamente de vanzare bucuresti the front suspension system is easier to 9 kg. Also, the seats are lighter, the dashboard uses fewer components and lower engine. The ceiling is easier to 2kg and, overall, the new Nissan Micra is lighter than its predecessor with 35 kg, weight ranging from 915 kg.

The new Micra has a new suspension system, with MacPherson struts in front with coil springs and compact torsion beam rear axle, designed to penetrate less in the trunk. Being mounted on auxiliary suspension with anti-roll bar also contributes to reducing traffic noise and vibrations.

Aerodynamics played an important role in defining the overall shape of the new Micra. For example, the roof is framed boomerang-shaped grooves which help reduce resonance inside, especially at high speeds, while reducing the overall weight up to 2kg. Slim design of the roof, complete with rear spoiler pronounced contribute to minimizing air resistance, lower fuel consumption and reduce emissions.

Design of the new model already appreciated not compromise visibility Micra model, the essential characteristic to stress-free driving in the city. Like the previous generation Micra, from the driver's seat possible clear view of the road and the car's extremities, allowing maneuvering in confined spaces.

The chassis has been designed to improve airflow and maximize downforce, increasing stability at high speed. Drag coefficient of the new Micra is 0.33.
